Meaning: Be in the middle of; be currently doing

Conjugation & Pattern

  • Action Noun: N + 중(이다) (e.g., 회의 중, 수업 중, 공사 중, 통화 중)
  • Verb: V + -는 중이다 (ㄹ drops before ㄴ: 만들다 -> 만드는 중이다)

Detailed Usage

Emphasizes that an action is actively in progress at the moment of reference. Compared to '-고 있다', '-는 중이다' focuses more specifically on being right in the middle of the process.
