-(으)ㄹ래야 -(으)ㄹ 수 없다-(eu)llaeya -(eu)l su eopda

V + -(으)ㄹ래야 + V + -(으)ㄹ 수(가) 없다 (Cannot possibly ... even if one tries/wants to)

Meaning: Even if one wanted/tried to ..., one could not possibly do so (repeats the verb to emphasize absolute impossibility).

Conjugation & Pattern

  • Repeats the exact same verb stem V:
  • V with batchim + -을래야 V-을 수(가) 없다
  • V without batchim/ㄹ + -ㄹ래야 V-ㄹ 수(가) 없다

Detailed Usage

Contracted from '-(으)려고 해야 -(으)ㄹ 수 없다'. The same verb must be repeated before and after to stress that no matter how much one intends to do it, circumstances make it impossible.
